In her new children’s book, “When I Grow Up” (published by Xlibris), author Kathy Gueye promotes early learning
through prose, color and creativity. Inspired by watching her son and
his many hours engaged in imaginary play, Gueye crafts a story about a
child who celebrates the infinite possibilities of imagination while
learning.
Hoping to develop the knowledge of sounds and colors while sparking imagination
for young readers, this book takes them on a journey in the life of a
child who uses imagination to live through their dreams. Readers follow
Tarik, a boy that represents children of all races. Tarik strives to reach for his dreams and uses his endless imagination to make his dreams become a reality.
“Imagination is the fruit of the learning
tree, when bearing this fruit, all possibilities are endless,” the
author points out. “You can become anything you want to be in life, if
you can dream, you can achieve.”
Bundled with vivid illustrations and a
charming narrative, “When I Grow Up” encourages both children and their
parents to reach for their dreams and surround their selves with the
infinite awesomeness found in imagination.
